Overview
Carbon peeling uses a carbon paste applied to the skin, which is then treated with a Nd:YAG laser. The carbon absorbs deeply into pores, and as the laser passes over it, it vaporises, taking dead skin cells, excess oil, and impurities with it. The heat stimulates collagen production. The result is refined pores, a brighter complexion, and improved texture in a single session. Chemical peels at Janus use medical-grade formulations (glycolic, salicylic, TCA) tailored to your skin type.
How it works
Skin Preparation
Skin is double-cleansed. For carbon peeling, a carbon paste is applied evenly across the face and left to absorb for 15–20 minutes.
Laser or Peel Application
For carbon peeling: the laser passes over the skin in multiple passes. For chemical peels: the formulation is applied in layers and neutralised after the appropriate contact time.
Cooling & Calm
Skin is cooled and soothed post-treatment. Mild redness and warmth are normal and resolve within hours.
Aftercare
Gentle moisturiser and SPF are essential. No exfoliation, gym, or heavy skincare for 48 hours.
